iPad tip: creating narrated presentations for online learning
Due to the closure of brick-and-mortar learning spaces, many of us are now needing to quickly adapt and move our teaching materials online. At the same time, the urgency to do this means that it is not the best time for complicated innovations that could lead to further disruption. Using tools you are already familiar with is the best way to go.
If you have an iPad, within a few minutes you can be up and running with recording narrated screencasts and presentations. Even better, if you have an Apple Pencil, you can use this to draw as you speak, or highlight and underline text. This is a great way to provide formative feedback on student writing.
